Julie Linton

Julie is a seasoned contracts professional with over two decades of experience spanning both government and industry. She began her contracting career at Buckley Air Force Base through the prestigious Copper Cap Internship Program, where she worked as a civilian and loved working alongside the military. From there she volunteered to deploy as a civilian in support of the war effort and worked in Kuwait for a year. After deployment she continued to support the government by working at NPS and the Forest Service.

 

During her 7 years of government service, she gained hands-on experience across diverse contracting areas, including Government Purchase Card operations, services, construction, and contingency contracting. Managing complex contracts was a rewarding and exciting time of her career.

 

When the opportunity arose to transition to the industry side she embraced the challenge and become a Contracts Manager for a defense contractor. For 5 years she learned a whole new world of contracting from a contractor’s perspective. In addition to proposals, pricing, contract administration, and closeouts, she also gained valuable experience navigating corporate acquisitions and expanding her understanding of business operations.

 

In 2016 Julie found her true calling in contracts consulting. Working for Arrowhead Solutions allowed her the opportunity to support small businesses in all aspects of government contracts. She quickly developed a passion for helping start-ups navigate the complexities of federal acquisition processes—from proposal development and subcontract management to compliance and contract administration.

 

Now part of the Glenn Consulting team, Julie continues her mission of empowering small businesses to grow and succeed in the government contracting space. Her career path has provided true cradle-to-grave contracting expertise, blending the insight of a former government Contracting Officer with the practical experience of an industry Contracts Manager.

 

She calls Aurora, Colorado home and enjoys a quiet life with her very spoiled and well-loved Havanese rescue pup, Ms. Roca Rose. She takes advantage of the beautiful Colorado  sunshine as often as possible through bike rides, walks, gardening, or attending sporting events.
