Contracts and Procurement SME
Michelle is an accomplished contracts professional with a diverse background spanning finance, software, and defense contracting. Her career began in marketing and bookkeeping for a restaurant franchise, where she developed a strong foundation in business operations and financial management. She later transitioned to supporting school districts, teaching administrators how to use financial software systems before moving into a quality assurance role to support product development—an experience that honed her analytical and process improvement skills.
In 2009, Michelle began her formal contracting career as a Department of Defense civilian (1102) at Kirtland Air Force Base, where she gained valuable experience in federal acquisition. Two years later, she joined LinQuest, steadily advancing from Business Support Specialist to Assistant Vice President of Contracts and Procurement, leading strategic initiatives and supporting complex government programs. Following LinQuest’s acquisition by KBR, she transitioned to her current role as Director of Contracts for KBR’s National Security Solutions (NSS) division, where she oversees contract strategy, compliance, and execution.
Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Midwestern State University and an MBA from Oklahoma City University. She is also a certified Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) and Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) through the National Contract Management Association (NCMA).
Originally from Lubbock, Texas, Michelle now calls Niceville, Florida home, where she lives with her husband following his 24-year Air Force career. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and spending time with her beautiful granddaughter.
